On Friday 18th April, 2008 B.E.A.C.H. volunteers talked with faculty, students and the public about the problem of marine debris in the ocean, using reusable bags instead of plastic ones, and other environmental solutions to the disposable plastic problem. The University of Hawaii at Manoa Earth Day Fair provided local socially and environmentally conscious artists, artisans, musicians, vendors, businesses, and organizations an opportunity to showcase their work to the public.
