About Lakona the creator of the new webcomic “Salty Sandcrab”

Jason Bush (pen-name Lakona) is an artist, graphic designer, surfer and environmentalist.  He grew up in Hawai`i in `Aina Haina on the island of O`ahu.  Jason now lives in Minnesota with his wife Lisa, daughter Delia and his son Francis and visits Hawai`i as often as possible to visit friends and surf.

“Salty Sandcrab” is a comic strip which Jason has created especially for B.E.A.C.H. while visiting Hawai`i with his family in 2007.  Jason was inspired to create a fun comic strip that would help increase environmental awareness.
