On Friday 25th April, 2008 B.E.A.C.H. partnered with the Conservation Council for Hawai`i at the Punahou Schools Sustainability Fair displaying marine debris and how it impacts reefs, marine life, and seabirds. Volunteers also talked with students and teachers about solutions to lessen plastic pollution such as using reusable shopping bags.
The Fair provided a treasure trove of useful and fun information on living sustainably in the five areas of waste, water, energy, transportation and food and it offered something for everyone in a festive setting. |
