Ocean Friendly Offices

The Ocean Friendly Offices program is an initiative of B.E.A.C.H. The purpose of the program is to encourage
ocean friendly actions such as using reusable bags instead of plastic bags, bringing your own utensil sets to
work instead of using disposable plastic ones.

To become an Ocean Friendly Office, all the staff need to not bring the following to work:
- polystyrene foam food and drink containers
- plastic checkout bags
- plastic bags for take-out food
- plastic straws and stirrers
- dispoable plastic coffee pods
- plastic utensils
- plastic water bottles
_ disposable plastic cups
- plastic cup lids

To get started, kits are available with reusable items such as utensils, straws and bags. Contact us on: phone: 393 2168
for more information on how to get involved.

Ocean Friendly Offices receive a pledge card to hang on the wall/door and an Ocean Friendly Office
sign for the front desk so that visitors to your office know that your workplace is taking action to
protect the environment and marine life by not using disposable plastic for food and drinks.
