Thank you to the volunteers who removed over 3000 pounds of marine debris (rope, derelict fishing nets, and all types of plastic) from Makapu`u beach on Sunday 22nd July, 2007. Special thanks to Putney Student Travel students who came from the mainland to do community service work on O`ahu. Thanks also to the two other groups who participated: Marimed Foundation and Kiewit Building Group.
