B.E.A.C.H. worked with the Academy of the Pacific Marine Science class to clean-up invasive algae at Kawaiku`i Beach on Tuesday July 17, 2007. Eric Co from the Nature Conservancy gave a presentation to the group before the clean-up and helped students identify invasive and native algae species during the clean-up. The student volunteers did a great job of collecting nearly 300 pounds of invasive algae.
